Product Description
Jean Prouve’s Standard Chair was designed in 1934, and is an icon in furniture design due primarily to the structural logic before that of beauty. The structurally solid and sound back leg ensures greater stability over traditional four-legged seats, allowing for the greater weight distribution on the back legs of a chair when a persons sits back.
Jean Prouve named this the 'Standard Chair' as a result of his ingeneous design and adherance to principles of structural design, the contoured seat lip also adds to the comfort for the user.
This magnificent reproduction Standard Chair is available in either white or black with a moulded plywood seat with Oak veneer.
