Product Description
In the post war years of the 1950's Italy attempted to rebuild its economy. Italian industry needed to produce low-tech objects, which could be exported.
They felt that the aesthetic appeal of the objects would give them added value. The Luminator was one of these products. Manufacturing costs were kept low because of the simplicity of the design. Apart from the three legged stand the only other feature was the wire that came from the tube base with the switch attached. This elegant uplighter was exported in large quantities.
The Luminator is not only elegant but structurally stable and functional. The lamp embodied postwar Italian design.
