Industrial Stools

We have a large range of Industrial Stools and Vintage Metal Stools in our range, with full product photography on each product on our website. Our range of industrial stools are crafted from Metal or Timber, or a combination of both. The industrial style stool was first made available to the masses in the industrial revolution, when it became possible to produce steel and to roll sheet metal in large volumes; at a more affordable price than had previously been thought possible. This allowed metal stools to be made at prices much more economical and also lighter than the hand cast versions prior.

With the production of new versions of stools and combinations of materials, came the burst of new styles and the creation of the look associated with the industrial era. Some popular bar stools from the period are the Turner Bar Stools which feature a solid timber seat, and adjustable seat height with a simple turn of the seat on the long screw insert. Xavier Pauchard created the iconic French Cafe Stools that soon took Europe by storm in the late 1920's, and this metal bar stool is still in production today.

We also have some modern vintage stools in our collection, that are very much based on industrial bar stool designs. The Bend Bar Stool features a stunning hand welded geometric pattern seat, with thick wire edging and a solid bent wire base. This modern metal bar stool is so vintage in look it could have come straight out of the industrial era. We also have the Keline bar stool, which is another hand welded metal bar stool, that has the addition of a comfortable soft upholstered seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

What defines an industrial-style stool?
Industrial-style stools are defined by their raw, functional aesthetic, often combining powder-coated metal, raw timber, and welded steel details. These stools trace their design roots to the industrial revolution, where durability and minimalism were essential. At Replica Furniture, we offer a curated range of industrial stools that channel this era with vintage-inspired finishes, exposed welds, and utilitarian materials, ideal for kitchens, cafés, and commercial spaces seeking timeless, functional seating with a designer edge.
Are your industrial stools suitable for cafés or commercial spaces?
Yes, our industrial stools are highly suited to commercial environments such as cafés, bars, and hospitality venues. Many styles, including our Turner and Keline stools, are constructed with robust steel frames, stackable designs, and wipe-clean surfaces. They’re designed to handle daily use while maintaining a stylish, vintage aesthetic. We also offer volume pricing through our trade program, and fast courier shipping across Australia, making them a practical and attractive choice for commercial fit-outs.
How do I choose the right height for an industrial stool?
Choosing the right stool height depends on your bench or table. As a general rule, leave about 25–30cm between the seat and the underside of your counter. Standard kitchen bench stools are around 65cm high, while bar-height stools are usually 75cm. At Replica Furniture, we also stock adjustable industrial stools like the Turner, which offer flexibility for various spaces. If you're unsure, visit our Brisbane showroom or contact our team, we’re happy to help you find the perfect fit.
What materials are used in your industrial stools?
Our industrial stools are crafted using sturdy, hard-wearing materials such as powder-coated steel, bent wire, and solid timber. Some designs feature welded metal frames with geometric details, while others include upholstered seats for added comfort. You’ll find a mix of matte metal finishes, timber grains, and hand-finished elements across the range. Each stool is selected for its durability, design integrity, and suitability for both home and commercial environments. Material details are listed clearly on each product page.
