The Wassily lounge chair was originally designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer. The design tooks is shape based on a bent bicycle handlebar, which was only a recent innovation for the time.
A Wassily chair represents the delightful combination of stainless steel and pony hide leather which was so popular in the 1920's. Our replica Wassily chairs are made to the dimensions of the original. The banded back, seat and arm straps are made from thick pony hide leather and contour to fit the seated body perfectly providing amazing comfort.
The frame on our lounge chair is constructed from stainless steel and has been hand polished.
